1. Re: Must sees

just got back from 2 days at Xi'an.

We had a guide and taxi transport for 1 of the days.

The city is huge and the traffic is crazy.

Day 1 we went to Warriors and then climbed the Big Pagoda in the late afternoon. We were going to go back to see the water fountain at night but we were too tired.

Day 2 we hired bikes and rode the city wall, really enjoyed the ride, the top of the wall is uneven cobble type stones so you have to watch where you are riding and it is basically flat which means you have to peddle all the way, little opportunity to coast.....takes about 90 mins and is 13km....we went there first up, by the time we got back around 11.30am all the bikes have been hired.....after that we walked to the muslem quarter.....we werent particular interested in going there, however we ended up there and it was very entertaining, lot to see and do and a really good markets there as well.

We also walked past the drum and bell towers.

Just walking the main streets are interesting looking at the shops and people watching etc.

hope you enjoy your time there.
