Fly from Kunming to Lhasa for your trip to Tibet. As for the Silk Road, you have to fly to Xi'an or Lanzhou to start.

Hi,

The most convenient way from Kunming to Lhasa is to take a flight because the train will be very long.

If you want to do the silk road also, I suggest that you start your trip in Kunming because you are from Malaysia and there's quite good connexion with Kunming. Then, you can take a flight to Lhasa and finish your tour in Xi'an, where you can take your flight back! I'm from a local-based travel agent and we are mainly qualified to run the business for foreigners travelling around Southwest China.

I let you check our website by Google "Wonders of Yunnan" and jump at the section "Tours around Yunnan". We offer tour packages, tailor-made tours, flight and hotels booking, etc.

Please feel free to contact us!

Welcome to Yunnan!
