Hey there

Yes, my 40th birthday party was there!...a few years ago...

And i've been to their other restaurant near Sapporo Station too.

It was fine - although not great to be honest. I thnk they have so many out of town groups sweeping through that they weren't so personally friendly. The crab on the cheaper menus isn't SO sweet and juicy, I felt it had sat on the kitchen counter for a few hours..but if you go up a few price notches, should be good.

But the decorations of the restaurant make you feel in old world Japan etc and the menu is in English.

Go for it!

Do you have any good crab restaurants you'd recommend?

We were thinking the 4200yen set???? or do you reckon the 5200 is better??

thanks Amanda

The crab restaurants I have heard positive reviews in other forums are:

Kani Shogun: http://www.kani-syougun.com

Kani Honke: http://www.kani-honke.co.jp/

Ebikani Kassen: http://r.gnavi.co.jp/h006300/

Just to add, none of these restaurants have a Crab buffet. But they do have meal sets that generally start at around 5000 yen (for 2 ppl).

Reservations required. You can ask your hotel concierge to reserve the table and the meal sets for you in advance.

Has anyone been to this place before?

It claims that all 3 crabs are "all you can eat"

Not just only one or two whole crab.
