train pass

Hi.

I will travel to osaka-tokyo-kobe-kyoto-nara-osaka within 10days.

However. Im little bit confuse about jr pass. Which pass should I buy with that kind itinerary?

Secondly, is kansai pass available to use any subway, busses and tramps to get around in osaka, kobe, nara and kyoto?

JR West Rail Pass - Kansai Area or Kansai Wide Area http://www.japan-guide.com/e/e2357.html

Yes, but I think Surutto Kansai 2 or 3 Day Ticket is overvalued in many cases. http://www.japan-guide.com/e/e2357_006.html

other options Hankyu http://www.kansai360.net/en/ Kobe www.feel-kobe.jp/_en/profile/traffic_service/ Osaka http://www.japan-guide.com/e/e4006.html Kyoto http://www.japan-guide.com/e/e2363.html

The right pass to get is probably the 7-day nationwide JR Pass. As long as you complete your Tokyo roundtrip from the Kansai area within that time frame, add in some miscellaneous rides (Haruka Express plus other local and regional travel), you will come out slightly ahead. An accurate assessment can be done only if you post your itinerary down to the day.

The Kansai Thru Pass and the Kansai Area Pass Wide won't pay off. The Kansai Area Pass (without the "wide") only pays off if you need a return trip on the Haruka Express to KIX.

Sorry, I missed Tokyo. 7day JR Pass is appropriate.
