Hej

If tourist who sleep in hostel need to pay full 10RM tax?

If yes do you know hostel who doesn't take this tax or share it between roommate in room.

It means if I order bed in 4 bed dorm I'll pay 2.5RM.

Greetings

No such rules as divide between the number of people. Imagine those with 20 beds in one area lol

Seems there is no tourist tax for Hostel dorms....

From the lonely Planet forum.....

"Here is the relevant section from the "GENERAL GUIDE ON TOURISM TAX As at 26 SEPTEMBER 2017":

Q67: An operator provides backpacker accommodation i.e. they have 10 rooms at their

accommodation premise and there are designated room types that can either

accommodate 2, 4 or 6 persons. The rate charged is on per person per night basis.

Each room may be accommodated by different paying guests and they may be

staying at different periods of time and some such periods may overlap among the

guests staying in the same room type. Is the operator required to be registered

and how does he charge TTx in such a situation when the guests check-out?

A67: The operator is not required to be registered and is not required to collect tourism tax."
