Its not the only option. It is the cheaper and more efficient option.

Take a budget cab from the taxi counter. Costs about RM 70 per cab if you get a cab voucher. Else, if you are traveling light, you could take a train (KLIA Express) for RM 35 per person and from KL sentral, take a cab to golden triangle for RM 10.

Hi Paul,

Unfortunately, from KLIA, after 12pm, taxi is the only option. No more KLIA express and KLIA coach.

Hi paul,

The difference between a budget and a premier taxi is the car used.

Either way you wil pay an after midnight surcharge. We pay a rm50 surcharge for a limo back on Jan 4th

Budget taxi will cost abot rm70 + surcharge

Premium Taxi will cost about rm90 + surcharge

Taxi will be easiest and less hassle.

If you are leaving from KL, you could book a return limo (merc or Jag) service which, including the after midnight surcharge (one way), will cost you about rm350

Hi Paul,

You do not need to book the taxi. You get the taxi coupon at the arrival hall where you can choose single or return journey. The return journey will work out cheaper than taking any taxi from the city.

Alternatively, you can save by using the RM9 per person from KL sentral to LCCT on your return journey.

Paul,

After you collet your bags and walk through the green lanes at customs, you will turn either left or right depending on which carousel your bags come off at.

After you turn, you will see the arrivals hall though glass doors. Before you go through the glass doors, there is a transportation desk with everything from bus, to luxury limo service. If you are facing the desk, the private cars, (taxi's, limo's, etc.) are on the right. Starting with the luxury option on the rightmost. Prices are 60RM, 90RM, & 180RM ONE WAY for the three car options plus the aforementioned after midnight surcharge.

I wouldn't book a return ticket then as there are probably more options for your return that maye suit you better.
