Lcct food

In May We will have about 5 hours to kill at LCCT (assuming Air Asia flights are on time) and wondered if anyone has used the new Food Garden and if so is the food good and can you get a few beers there.

Goodness me, I wouldn't want to be stuck in LCCT for five hours! It would be worst than to be stuck in the Cork airport....Check-in everything, get a cab out to putrajaya (RM 50 and 20 mins away) and enjoy a meal among the lush parks and beautiful buldings. The Shangrila putrajaya has a good Mediterranean restaurant and the shopping complexes like Anjung and Alamanda all have large food courts offering cheap food. The Coast and the Manhattan Grill Bar in the Anjung Mall should serve cheap beer.

Hi Paul,

LCCT airport is like a train station where there are a lot of people moving around, you won't find peace and nice food there except sitting in Coffee Bean (like Starbuck) with your laptop (whole airport has free wi fi) or book, coffee and simple western food.

If you do have five hours to spare, go to KLIA (Pan pacific is a nice hotel to relax or eat) or Putrajaya as suggested.

Hi again,

Forget to mention, you don't get beer or any alcoholic drink in LCCT as there are only McDonald, an asian cafe and Coffee Bean. Plan for expansion of airport is in the pipeline and hopefully, it can become something like Stansted.

By the way, LCCT check in gates in Malaysia to any Asian destinations are usually 2 hours before departure and you can even do just 45 mins for domestic flights.

Thanks for your help guys.

It sounds as though it may be better if our flight from Kuching is delayed and we have to spend as short a time as possible before we fly on to Langkawi.

If its on time we will probably go to KLIA for a couple of hours.

Regards

Paul
