Puduraya Bus Station??

Hi there. We're on our way to KL in about 6 days and we're hoping to get to Mersing for the Tioman ferry but it looks like the bus station in KL that services Mersing is closed?

Can someone tell me if it has reopened and if not where do we have to go to catch the bus?

Also, our plane arrives at 2pm and was hoping to get out of KL as soon as possible and visit KL for a few days when we return for our flight home to England. We love KL and have been before.

Are there buses that leave KL for Mersing at 10 or 11pm or is it best to wait for the morning buses to start at 9am?

Thanks everyone!

Puduraya is still closed and the current targetted re-opening date is on April 16th.

Currently, the temporary bus terminal is operating out of Bukit Jalil, but supposedly tomorrow, March 1, it shifts to the new Bandar Tasik Selatan integrated station.

Thanks for the fast response! When travelling on buses in SE Asia I never expect things to be easy! Freezing cold due to the air con, yes... Easy? NEVER!!

So maybe we should head towards Bandar Tasik station and hope the buses are running? We can always stay in KL for a night and get a bus out in the morning. This is assuming we can find the right bus station!

What would you suggest?

Thanks again

Latest updates:

Looks like the shifting of south-bound bus companies from Bukit Jalil to Bandar Tasik Selatan is actually happening.

North-bound buses will continue to operate at Bukit Jalil until Puduraya is completed.

Something is happening on the day it's meant to be happening? When local councils are involved this never happens in England!

We'll head towards Bandar Tasik Selatan and hope for the best! It'll be in the afternoon so we hope we can get tickets for the night bus but if not we'll stay in KL for a night before heading out to the islands.

No problem!

Terima kasih
