Premium plaza lounge at LCCT for domestic passengers

Hi we are flying in Dec Perth - KL and then KL Penang all with air asia and have a 3 hour stop over. Can we use the premium plaza lounge while we are awaiting a domestic flight to penang? or is it only for international departures?

Does anyone know?

thanks

premium plaza lounge is in the International Departure Area..not sure if it is applicable for domestic flights...you have to pay somewhere around 300rm to use it

Don't forget, there is no transfer facility at LCCT. Passengers who need to make another flight need to clear immigration, collect their luggage (unless on fly-thru), clear customs, make their way to the main terminal and re-check in with the respective airline.

So this will use up quite a bit of your 3 hour wait for the next flight.

I will be arriving at LCCT at 11pm and departing from LCCT at 7am next morning. Planning to use the lounge. Anyone with experience can advise whether will it be an acceptable place to take a nap on the couch for 3 - 4 hrs?

If you have time up your sleeve ( we got through immigration etc in 20 minutes the other day) there is a coffee bean with some comfy leather chairs where you could sit in a bit of comfort for a while.

Thanks michele for your suggestion.

I am hoping to use the shower facilities, catch up with some sleep.

Not sure whether the LCCT lounge has shower facilities as the website has a statement that say "airside section do not have shower facility".

You might be better off getting a room at Tune for your overnighter!

Actually the Premium Plaza lounge has an Air side in international departure area and a Land side that Domestic travelers can also use, however the Land side is definitely NOT worth paying for.

Nevertheless it is there if you really want it. Situated on the right hand side just before you go through first security check at start of international area escalators.

The advice above is correct. There are two sections to the PP Lounge. The one before immigration is tiny and really just a space to sit and work. The larger lounge is on the other side of immigration - so it depends on how early you can get rid of your bags and get through immigration. We were thinking of using the PP Lounge in immigration and had a look around. The food looked terrible - as if it had been sitting there all day. Very limited drinks included in the price. There are comfortable chairs and a shower - if this is what you are after.

We ended up sitting in a booth in the Sportmans Bar next door instead.
