Hi Jen

If u r after a budget hotel in Bukit Bintang, u cant beat the location of Apple, Agora and Sungei Wang. Nothing fancy at all, just a place to crash, but with the added bonus of being the 'better' end of Bukit Bintang.

One thing about StarPoints, there is nothing much in the area beyond a coupla hours wandering. Plenty of moneychangers in that area.

Have a look at Asiatravel where there are some decent hotels within yr budget.

http://www.asiatravel.com/

Capitol hotel is in a great location, a couple of mins walk to Pavilion and room is clean and comfy. Choose the Deluxe which is roomier. I had stayed there for numerous occasions.

"The crazy rate" in Asiatravel could be Novotel hotel. The name popped up in one of the reviews.

The Stairpoints is just about 250 metres from Sogo shopping and nearby Pertama and Campbell complexs; crawling distance to jalan TAR shopping; about 250m to Coliseum cafe; about 450m to Masjid Jamek LRT; about 1km to Central Market, KL Tower (bit longer), Dataran Merdeka; about 1.6km to Petaling Street....Doable walking distances :-)

What about the sky hotel. It's in you budget but I'm not sure re breakfast. My son stayed there and liked it. It's quite new. Also the rainforest B&B gets quite good reviews.

Thanks very much to all.

Well we will do a JBR on KL in June and ....................Starpoints.

That is one hotel booked and 5 to go in Thailand and we leave on the 5th of May.

Already done lots of research so just the final price checking for the rest. It was KL that challenged us so now we can look forward to all that Little India and greater KL has to offer.
