Would like your opinion on this. If Sungei Wang forex is really that good, could someone please advise where exactly is this forex place? I just called up Amex foreignexchage, today's rate is MYR 3.0663 to 1 AUD.

We will also bring our 28degree credit card, and withdraw as needed in KL. Would like to hear from anyone has used this card as compare to exchange cash in forex.

You should have some Ringgit on hand when you arrive. So if you can change about RM200, in smaller change if possible (say RM10 & 50s) either in Sydney, or upon arrival would be great. You can you this to pay for taxis, trains..etc

Sungei Wang is a mall, there are a few money changers around the area.

Hi

We normally change a little £ to MYR when we get to the airport (better rate than at home)

We don't use money changers much. There are several money changers in Sungei Wang Plaza as Maic says. Plus there are several outside along Bukit Bintang, as well as banks. The rates are pretty much a muchness.

We take our money out via an ATM card when we get to the city.

Many thanks for the reply.

We use 28 degrees all the time when we travel overseas, it' s a great product.

Jacks24, just on the pre purchase train tickets online would like to ask your experience. We arriving KLIA around 5:40pm on a weekday, with a 2yo toddler. Still deciding whether to get a taxi or train, am concerning about the traffic if taking taxi; and for train, when we get off the train, still gotta get taxi to the hotel, not that convenient.

So, train or taxi?

Thanks.

Take the taxi. You will be heading into KL, while peak hour traffic will be heading out of KL.

If you arrive at 540pm, you will only get out at about 630pm.

By the time you hit KL, it would be close to 715pm. By that time, "some" of the outbound traffic would have cleared.

Many people here like the taxis but I personally like the comfort of the train and that instead of taking an hour with a taxi driver excessively speeding (140 in a 80 zone our first and only time) it only takes 28 minutes and they are very regular.

You can get them online at https:/…index.asp

A lot of times they have deals that can only be bought online ie. often have got the 3people for $75myr.

Once we get to KL Sentral we go to either the coupon stand just near the exit or there is another further on and it takes about 5-10mins max to our hotel which is the Renaissance. If flying with MAS the train is even better for the journey back as we check in our luggage around 12 for our 9pm flights (which is great when you have to checkout of the hotel at 12)

We have been 5 times and always do it this way now after the taxi counter on our second trip decided instead of the $74myr we paid the first time (exactly same situation as last) would now cost us $140myr but the taxi driver might tell us we need a bigger taxi so could cost us $200myr - so now it's the kl express and online tickets :D

Our last trip we landed at 3.15 and were atthe hotel by 4.55 just in time for checkin and cocktail hour ;)

Others will tell you taxi but we like the train as its our time to relax and do that ahhhhh were backin KL :D

Hi

Something I forgot to mention is that we're arriving at the LCCT so that will add another 20 min? to the journey if we take the express train.

If you arrive via LCCT take the taxi.

The train is too much of a hassle.
