Air Asia to move from the LCCT to new KL airport Terminal.

Its all happening, supposingly by June 2013,the new terminal is called KLIA2.

And its about time,i must say,as the LCCT is a real ordeal..

Quote:— Bernama

The RM3.6 billion KLIA2, built to cater for the explosive growth expected in low-cost travel, is sprawled over 257,000 sq metres and is envisaged to handle a maximum of 45 million passengers a year.

The airport will have 60 gates, eight remote stands, 80 aerobridges, plus a retail space covering 32,000 sq metres to accommodate 225 retail outlets.

Oh yeah Hervey as mKiara said, your wish 99.9% granted unless AA decide not to, last minute. Landing in between? maybe hehehehe. AA do not want to use the aerobridge so maybe the aircraft will be parked somewhere in between hehehe.

#30 - tax: The Malaysian Insider understands that budget airline officials have been told to brace for a PSC as high as RM65.

Well, why? to help MAHB recoup faster from KLIA2's construction delays..delays..delays lah.

More so, MAHB saw nett profit for the fourth quarter ended December 31, 2013, fall by 37.8% to RM48.5 million from RM78 million a year ago, on high user fee, staff costs, repair and maintenance costs as well as utilities costs. Revenue for the quarter also fell by 15.6% to RM1.1 billion from RM1.3 billion a year ago.

For the financial year ended December 31, 2013, MAHB's nett profit fell 1.4% to RM388.9 million from RM394.5 million a year ago, although revenue rose 15.5% to RM4.1 billion from RM3.5 billion a year ago.

So do not worry, Air Asia will launch another an online petition entitled "MAHB: Reverse the enforced increment of PSC in KLIA2" on top of putting up "Say No to Airport Tax Increase" stickers at KLIA2 and on Tony's car and on his Caterham F1 cars and all QPR jerseys--besides the logo-Visit Malaysia year 2014.

Hi,

which hotel? I think you send a tweet to Aireen Omar ((@aireenomar) or Tony Fernandes ( (@tonyfernandes)..will get a better conclusive answer.

Or even tweet to AskAirAsia (Ask AirAsia (@askairasia)

Does it matter if you fly in to KLIA2 or LCCT?

Thanks!

We will be staying at the Westin. And we are flying out of KL to Singapore, so I want to make sure the taxi takes us to the right terminal

Hi,

#36, I would guess on May10,your flight with AA to SIN,will be from KLIA2.

No harm, the concierge of Westin should be well informed, and I am sure few days before your flight or arrival into KL, a check over here will have our friendly forumers providing insights already...am sure Hervey will be lending his/her perspective also on his /her experience landing in KLIA2.

Just tell the taxi, "AirAsia"-they will know already which terminal to take you too.

Unless you are arranging a airport pick up when you arrive, it doesn't really matter at this point whether you arrive KLIA2 or LCCT.

On your onward trip to Singapore, have you booked your tickets? A lot of locals me included prefer to fly via Firefly via subang skypark. Its a small airport and much less hassle, and its nearer to KL.

If you have booked your onward KUL-SIN tickets, and on Airasia also, then you would depart the same airport you arrive.

Just bear in mind that you are most likely arriving at an airport 2-3 days after its starts operations, so expect delays when everyone is new. From private car finding where to park, where to drop off, where to pick up, taxi drivers confused, tour bus drivers confused, traffic directors confused, passengers confused..etc
