4 nights stay at Kuala Lumpur. Which hotel?

I will be visiting KL for the 1st time in the month of April, 2014 with my girlfriend. Staying for 4 nights there and would be coming there for some street shopping and visiting tourist places there.

With SO MANY hotel options in the Golden Triangle area, I am really confused as to where to stay. Am looking for the following in the hotel:

1) Close to shopping district and monorail

2) Good, clean hotel with 24 hrs room service

3) Swimming pool

4) Availability of Wi-Fi (free or charged no problem)

I have a budget of 1300 MYR for 4 nights together. The following hotels have been shortlisted by me:

1) Parkroyal

2) Maya Hotel

3) Renaissance

4) Novotel

5) Concorde

6) Somerset (its a bit higher than my budget though)

Will really like your advice on the hotel list above. If you had to rearrange them as preference or maybe just pick one of the lot depending on the criteria as mentioned above, please let me know.

Thank you so much for your time.

Ive stayed at both park Royal and Novotel and would recommend both.

Parkroyal a better hotel but lately the Novotel has been my hotel of choice because its right next door to the Pavillion Shopping Cente and for roughly the same price I get a Club Room which gives many additional benefits like free drink including alcohic beverages between 5:30 to 7:30pm, free snacks which for us saves us on dinner, high floor, private check in, free wifi to name a few.

But you will be very happy with the Parkroyal and it does offer a fantastic buffet breakfast.

Thank you TravellingMitch ..

@Tommomelbourne thank you for a little extra detail. Good points provided to make me want to stay at the Novotel. I will take a look at that too.

Will let you all know which one I went for in the end.

You wont go wrong with either one.

KL Shopping belts starts with KLCC then Pavillion, then goes on to Starhill, Farenheit, Lot10, Sungei Wang, Berjaya and Low Yat Malls.

The Parkroyal is between Lot10 and Sungei Wang. So its centrally located at Bukit Bintang.

Novotel is between KLCC and Pavillion.

if you are more into luxury shopping then Novotel has a slightly better location between Pavillion and KLCC.

If you are in the more local owned shops then Park Royal is nearer Sungei Wang and Berjaya Times Square.

You wont go wrong with either.
