RM100 or AUD100 or USD100? On international websites like this, need to be specific on what the "$" means.

visit any one of those hotel booking websites (e.g. booking.com, hotels.com, agoda.com etc etc), punch in your budget and you'll get a list. Then cross reference with reviews on this website. Some research will be required.

AUD 100 is about RM 290.

At that price, in Bukit Bintang you are looking at hotels like Capitol, Melia, Dorsett Regency or Federal. Bear in mind, you may need to add another 16% for government taxes and service charges to the price listed.

For nicer hotels, may need to up the budget a little more.

Don't like recommending, as what was good for us might not be for you . . . but we liked the Park Royal.

To be honest it is better to come back with a shortlist and ask for comments on locations etc.

look at the green banner at the top of this page and check out the Hotels tab [ tripadvisor.co.uk/Hotels-g293951-Malaysia-Ho… ] where you see the full range of hotels / apartment rental / B&Bs etc for that area, see what appeals to your actually budget / style / requirements and you can also look at nearby hotels on a map, as well as read recent reviews

Also, when are you travelling??

Check out wotif.com - I just plugged in max RM300 per night and there are lots of options, depending on how close you want to be to KLCC or BB. Swiss Garden is quite nice, just around the corner from BB, Fahrenheit smack bang in the middle of BB depending on your dates, Furama (not sure about their reviews?) Melia and the ZON are all in your price bracket. You could also try airbnb.com for private apartment rentals at decent rates.

Sally

We recently stayed at the Piccolo which is in the center of the Bukit Bintang shopping zone. Checked booking.com for Feb and price was $126 but Hotels Combined have prices around $100 - no breakfast though which is not an issue as plenty of cheap eateries can be found. Wi-fi was free which not the case in many hotels in KL - charges seem to apply in a lot of hotels.

Cheers
