Chinatown - lrt/train question

Hi all,

We're currently in kl and had a lovely afternoon out at batu caves.

Tomorrow we'd like to venture in and around the city and Chinatown. We're staying in an apartment and I'm still trying to get used to the train lines. We can catch a free shuttle bus to kelana jaya then a train to the city.

Which is the best station to get off at, to get to Chinatown and to have a wander around and experience the sights/sounds.

Also, later in the week we'd like to head out to berjaya mall. Can someone let me know which train line/station is close to the mall

Thanks again

You need to have a look at this site http://www.myrapid.com.my/rail/routes . . Monorail to Maharajalela or MRT to Pasar Seni or Masjd Jamek; then following the finger post signs walk to Petaling Street. 5 min walk from both. Times Square Mall (which is not the best) is at Imbi monorail station, but don't forget the other [and better malls] in the same area at the next stop Bukit Bintang.

As above take the LRT from kelana jaya to pasar seni. You can take a look around the Central Market opposite the station. Petaling Street is a short walk away. Bear in mind the street market only starts in the evening.

From Petaling street walk to Mono rail station at ,prior to that there is a very old temple at the junction worth a visit .

Mono rail>>Board at Maharajela (green line mono rail route)

a)Maharajalela to (b) Imbi station>>where Berjaya mall(Berjaya square commonly refer to)
