Air Asia to commence direct flights KL to Kalibo Philippines

Air Asia are to commence direct flights from KL to Kalibo Philippines. This is the closest major airport to Boracay and one of the best beaches in Asia and voted as such in the TA awards.

Gives travellers a great and convenient option via KL hence saving a flight via Manila. The closest airport to Boracay is Caticlan but this airport is only serviced by turbo-props from Manila.

This is the link and was shared by another member on the TA forum.

Go and enjoy Boracay.

@ Yasmin please go to the Air Asia Website for more information on prices. Cost depends on how many kilos luggage you wish to purchase.

Do a dummy booking and you can see exactly how it works.

Hi Yasmin S,

for hand luggage is 7kgs(free).

for checked luggage, if done when online booking(viz.prebook)

International (up to 20kg) RM 55

International (up to 25kg) RM 60

International (up to 30kg) RM 100

International (up to 40kg) RM 190

Otherwise,if not prebook, and at counter it shall be only 20kgs and it is RM105

If not mistaken, when one does a booking to confirm, the checked baggage allowance defaults at 20kgs.

And one more thing, the departure tax when departing KLO is not included in your ticket(only the departure tax for departing from KUL), the prevailing airport tax for KLO is PHP550
