what is KLIA terminal M???
Terminal M is the main terminal at KLIA 1. KL International airport.
The long answer would be that the Kuala Lumpur International Airport [IATA code: KUL] is made up of two terminals; KLIA and KLIA2.
The design of the KLIA consists of a Main Terminal Building ("MTB"), Contact Pier as well as a Satellite Terminal Building ("STB") connected to the Contact Pier by Aerotrain.
Airplanes will either deplane at the Contact Pier (domestic & some international flights) or STB (international flights).
You can only get to the Contact Pier or STB via the MTB which is where you do your check-in, baggage collection, immigration and customs. This MTB is what is commonly known as "Terminal M".
KLIA2 is the other terminal specifically designed for low-cost carrier airlines. It consists of a Main Terminal Building, a Satellite Terminal Building and a shopping mall called Gateway @ KLIA.
The MTB is connected to the STB by a skybridge instead of an aerotrain, so you have to walk between the two. The MTB has two piers catering for domestic and some international flights whereas the STB's two piers cater solely for international flights.
You can only get to the STB via the MTB which is where you do your check-in, baggage collection, immigration and customs.
Hopefully I have succeeded in not confusing you even further ...Edited: 08 June 2014, 09:36
