1. Re: real Italian pizza in Kuala Lumpur

Can you explain what is a real italian pizza?

There are many italian restaurants in Malaysia that serve pizza but I am not sure what is the definition of a real italian pizza.

For example

1. Must it be made by a real italian? Would a local do?

2. Must it be made in a wood fired oven? Would a commercial oven do?

3. Must the wood be from italy to impart a certain aroma to the pizza?

4. Must the ingrediants be from italy, eg the source of the tomato base affects the taste

5. Must the flour be italian in origin and hand tossed?

6. Must it contain pork. A number of restaurants serve muslim customers so use only halal ingredients

1. Yes

2 only wood oven

3 no necessary

4 preferably italian ingredients

5 not necessary but better

6 there are choice in pizza with and without pork (hams, sausages etc)

Much clearer now ? Come to Italy and you will see what I mean !

There are plenty of real Italian Restaurants in Milan.

Are there any real Malaysian Restaurants in Milan?

Come to Malaysia to try something you can't get at home...the local food is magnificent. otherwise why bother travelling around the world to have something you can get at home? I just don't understand that logic.

Mullos nobody is dying to eat Italian in Malaysia food is very good but not healthy and natural. My question was simple if I live in Malaysia would like to find a good palce to east Italian when I feel like and fed up of local food rice and rice and rice. Very simple. We know Asia very well and so its food.

Malaysian restaurant don't exist in Italy because we have the best food in the world sorry to say. Other cuisines are good but after a while you get tired unless you are born with that food. In Milan we have excellent Indian food. Let's don't complicate a simple question Malaysia lack good Italian food, Singapore and Bangkok for example have very good ones.
