Just want some quick advice on what ive planned. Im looking at some tours through visit-malaysia and go with anuar. Has anyone used these tour companies?

Ive booked accom at Grand Millenium.

So far im looking at the below

Fly in

KL Night tower Tour

1st day

Malaysian Elephant Conservation and Kuala Selangor Fireflies Tour Program

2nd day

Malacca Day Trip from Kuala Lumpur

Cultural night tour with dinner and show

3rd day

Shopping before flighting out - possibly pavillion or if anyone knows of factory direct outlets would be good to know

Thanks in advance!

Never heard of it! I just googled it, the prices look rather high for the tours. Bus and taxi fares in Msia are quite cheap, e.g. the bus fare from KL to Malacca is about RM13, ok you have to get to the bus station

Hi maic,

we did look at a city tour but voted against it. we are doing the night tower tour which drives us around the city and to china town.

LOL

I use a great way to get about the city to see the sights, it is called public transport or the free GO KL (Kuala Lumpur City Bus)! Yes, you get to see all the sites, don't have to worry about rip off costs. Only ever used a tour agent once, never again!

Fly in

KL Night tower Tour

?? There is no night tour . . . Petronas Towers tours finish at 8pm, and you can arrange yourself. Or you just go to the KL Menara [single tower]. Not sure what you are paying for, but think you are not getting a good deal..

Malaysian Elephant Conservation and Kuala Selangor Fireflies Tour Program

A] crikey a busy day as the 2 are in different locations. Both require transport. You won't get much a break other than when travelling, and it will take about 2 hours to get between the 2 locations.

2nd day

Malacca Day Trip from Kuala Lumpur

A] That is the whole day, 2 hours there and the same back.

Cultural night tour with dinner and show

A] what time do you expect to be back?

3rd day

Shopping before flighting out - possibly pavillion or if anyone knows of factory direct outlets would be good to know

A] Bukit Bintang has 8-9 malls in additional to the Pavillion.

Hi Steph,

The GM is a great place to stay and the staff there are wonderful. As TM mentioned plenty of shopping nearby and The Pavilion is around 50 metres away and a great centre and very popular with tourists. Brilliant food court there as well. Have a great trip.
