Hi,

I am planning to visit malaysia this october with my wife and an Infant(8 month old). we are from kerala,India and are in late 20's . I have done some basic research here and has got some idea of places to visit

I like to visit Petronas twin tower(sky deck and 86 level) preferably at night.other attractions that are in my mind are Batu caves,Sri Maha Mariamman Temple,Beryls chocolate kingdom,National monument ,Aquaria KLCC,Kuala Lumpur City Centre (KLCC),Kuala Lumpur Bird Park & butterfly park and china town.

I may do a full day malacca trip also from kaulalampur

Following are my queries

1. Please suggest me a suitable itineray for the same. i guess i need atleast 3 full day in kaulalampur for covering all these attractions. i need a relaxed trip as i am travelling with an infant

2.Did i miss something which is a must to do.I avoided a food tour as i plan to do it in penang.

3. Is the best mode of transport is cab for this trip.also what should i need to pay approx. If anybody can suggest a good guide also it will be highly appreciated.what should i need to pay for it

4.What will be the weather like in October and do i need to book hotels in advance

looking forward from you and any help will be highly appreciated

Hi

A] suggesting a suitable itinerary for someone you don't know, nor know their likes, dislikes, budget and how long they are there for is impossible. You will need 3 days to do what you want to see in a relaxed way, 2 if you are prepared to hurry! The Petronas Towers are at KLCC, as is the Aquirum. Sri Mahamariamman Temple is in Chinatown and not far from the Bird and butterfly parks, which is also where the national Monument is. BatuCaves are 20mins north of the city. . Beryls chocolate kingdom (a shop) is slightly away fro the popular tourist desintations, not far from KLCC a half hour walk or 15mins taxi ride. You would need a 4th day if you want to go to Malacca, but if you are going to Penang I would not bother.

2.Did i miss something which is a must to do.I avoided a food tour as i plan to do it in penang.

A] a must do is a personal choice. For example Batu Caves, the Aqurium, the National Monument and the Chocolate Kingdom don't do it for me. If you are happy with what you plan to see then its good for you. Don't worry about what others think you should see, its your holiday.

3. Is the best mode of transport is cab for this trip.also what should i need to pay approx. If anybody can suggest a good guide also it will be highly appreciated.what should i need to pay for it

A] The whole trip, or the bit in Kuala Lumpur? You don't need a guide. You don't need a taxi. You can do ost of it on either on the free GoKL tourist bus or cheap public transport. There is also the Hop on Hop off bus - which is more expensive. Taxi is much more expensive, and a private driver would be very expensive.

4.What will be the weather like in October and do i need to book hotels in advance

A] Who knows what the weather will be like but it will be hot, humid, the sun will shine and it will probally rain. I would certainly book up hotels in advance if you have a baby otherwise you will be walking around trying to find one in an area you like at a price you want to pay!

Happy planning!
