maldives on a budget

can anyone recommend a decent hotel/resort in the maldives which is fairly reasonably priced? we are looking for somewhere with nice beach, snorkelling, and clean rooms - but unfortunately on a very tight budget - your recommendations are appreciated

Biyadhoo, read the reviews first, then make up your mind if it's for you. It's basic, but clean, snorkelling is very good, food good. We loved it. You probably won't find cheaper.

hayes and jarvis do really good last minute offers to the maldives, we booked just 5 weeks before we left and got b&b for 2 weeks at Bandos for 6 of us at £4200, that was for 4 adults ( even though our girls were only 13 & 10 they charged full price and we got the other 2 kids at child price, they gave us the cheaper quotes to other islands some have been mentioned in the previous posts but we wanted bandos,if you want a really cheap deal going last minute will probably be your best option.

Club Faru was great. Cost wise, would meet a tight budget, but the food and service you get, you would expect it to cost a lot more, and with the all inclusive, no more outlay when you get there. We have just come back, having spent 19 nights there, and do not have one complaint or downside.

Enjoy where ever you go.
