Not only is it free but if you keep it on in the evening it helps to prevent mossies from wanting to go in your room. Mind you the room boys always seem to turn it off whenever they go into your room & don't turn it back on when they leave.

Hi Holiday Empress

Your sure this is not the key to your room in some resorts when you take the key out it automatically cuts out the electricity and therefore the air con

No charge for air con, and does not go off when you take key as they are not connected. We left the air con on all day, then swopped it for the ceiling fan when we went to bed as we woke up freezing on our first night!!!

Air con was a bit too effective for my liking. After a short while we didn't bother with it at all - using only the ceiling fan occasionally. The downstairs rooms seem to stay comfortable - we referred to ours as 'the cave' (Doesn't take too long to acclimatise.)

Doug. Know where you coming from but definately wasn't the room key- that was an old fashioned metal one- a "credit card" type is just a bit too modern for Faru.
