In May, my family will be traveling from Davao to USA via Manila with Cebu Pacific and Korean Airlineg. We have 2 little children and we are going to have fully packed lugguage. We arrive in Manila to Terminal 3 and then have to transition to Terminal 1.
We are coming back from USA in July and we will arrive in Manila to Terminal 1. After going through immigration we need to transition to Terminal 3 to fly back to Davao. At that time, we will have 200kg worth of lugguage.
About 2 years ago, we made a similar trip and at that time our transition between the terminals was very smooth because the shuttle service was running regulary and relatively punctual. However, lately I've heard horrible stories about the shuttle service (not running regularly or not running at all, not free any longer, etc.) Because we travel with little kids and fully packed luggage, it is impossible to take a taxi between the terminals.
What is your latest experience with Manila airport shuttle service? If their shuttle service is not an option, is there any other solution to transition between the terminals when a family with little children & with lots of bags (about 12 suitcases and at least 4 more personal bags) is trying to visit/return home?
