Transport to Angeles

I posted this on the Angeles forum as well.

What's the best way to get from Manila airport to Angeles? Flight arrives around 5:15pm. Would it be better to stay in Manila for the evening and then transfer to Angeles the next day? What is the weather like in the latter part of September? I want to firm up lodging before I make my plane reservations. I'll be flying in from Honolulu. Anyone going to be there in around Sept 25 for about week?

kinda depends on how much you want to spend to get there! The cheapest way is a Victory Liner bus, probably around 120p.

If you stay in Manila (Ermita area) you can also take the "Fly the Bus" bus ride that the Swagman Hotel runs.

(You can find better hotels than the Swagman though, nearby.) The "Fly the Bus" takes you to Angeles and drops you off at various hotels.

Or, you can take a taxi direct to that town. Taxi is the most expensive. Hotel in Ermita plus the Victory Liner bus or perhaps even a hotel and "Fly the Bus" will be the same price as a single taxi ride.

Are you staying in Angeles or just passing through the Clark airport?

Weather from last year, newspaper link:

Link for hotels and map of Ermita:

I have used the Lotus Garden and City State hotels (and lots of cheaper ones.) http://www.hoteltravel.com/search/search.aspx

My last few visits to Manila I had the G Point Bar arrange make the reservation and got hotel discounts.

Good luck.

I agree. Margarita Station is probably your best choice. Thought there are cheaper alternatives their service is second to none. I like the fact that I don't have nothing to worry about. You'll be in great hands. Unfortunately I'll be Angeles City early September.

Try this website if you have other questions. It's very informative.
