2 days in Manila, must sees

Hi guys,

We plan on making a trip to Manila in first week of march. Reach Manila by 4pm on 4th March and then out by 5pm 7th March. Any ideas on how we can spend these days, must see places etc.?

Also, which are the good hotels out there, close to sights, shopping, restaurants.

Thanks in advance.

Hello KY

I have a Manila day tour video you can watch to get some ideas of where to go. You can download it for free from here:

www.cebutours.com/videos/manila_day_tour.wmv

My favourite hotel in Manila is the Aloha Hotel on Corner of Quirino Avenue and Roxas Boulevarde. About P2,500 per night for a decent room overlooking the Manila Bay. It is walking distance to a zoo and a large shopping mall and is near the bay walk which is where you will find numerous bayside open air cafes and restaurants some of which have free live bands at night. It is not far from Star City or Intramuros.

You can see the Aloha hotel on video here:

in addition to Marlet's, if u want somethin:

educational/cultural/historical- try Natl museum, CCP, Intramuros. or ask the best ever Manila expert, Carlos.

fun/food/shopping/clubbing to the maxxx- try Ayala Center, Greenbelt, The Fort, Rockwell Center, Eastwood City, Baywalk, Remedios Circle.

nature within the city- LaMesa Ecopark, UPCampus grounds, Rizal Park.

just choose among these. For first time travellers, remember to hire an 'accredited' guide, and visit only those places mentioned. Safest & convenient place is still the Ayala center.
