The developing dning scene in Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City

Here is an interesting article about the newest large scale dining area in fast growing Taguig City, better known to many of us as 'The Fort' or 'Fort Bonifacio.'

It is another reason why TA's Hong Kong resident foodies BradJill may need to pop over on a Philippine Airlines or Cebu Pacific flight soon:

I have also just asked TA to list Village Tavern restaurant in Taguig City. I will report back once it makes the grade.

Re: Cafe Juanita Fort Bonifacio

Several members have informed me that this restaurant is one of their favourites Filipino Restos. It serves predominantly Filipino Food but has items from all over Asia as well as Spanish fare. Ive had this restaurant added so please review if you have dined there recently.

Re: Cafe Juanita

I believe the resto has been the "in" place to dine in since 2010. We had our 2010 Christmas College reunion there but you have to get reservations since they are always fully booked / all tables taken come dinner time. I haven't tried dining again since then because of all the hype.

I'm not sure how the restaurant fared in the year 2012.

Re: Bonifacio High Street Central or Extension Restaurants

I'm wanting to submit a review of (2) dining places in the said place while I can still remember. The places are:

1. Lorenzo's Way; &

2. Cake Club (Diamond Hotel)

Dined and visited November 2012.

When we held the second annual TripAdvisor dinner at Cafe Juanita, The Fort on 5 January 2013, we were informed that 'Saturday night isn't the restaurant's busiest night, in fact it's quite quiet' and yet when we left after a great social occasion at about 2200 (10pm), every table inside plus some outside were occupied.

I note this area is close to the airport. Is it a good place to stay for one night layover if I come in late at night (22:30) and have to depart early next morning? Otherwise currently looking at Remington or Marriott at Resorts World.

I think Remington and Marriott which is opposite T3 will be a better choice due to the distance.
