7 hours layover from 4am in NAIA T3, next flight 11am T1

What is the best thing to do? I will be travelling alone with one luggage.

1) Should I go straight to Terminal 1? (The reviews that I've read were not so great)

2) Stay in T3 and then go to T1. If so, when should I go? I will be taking a taxi. How much does the airport taxi cost?

3) Drag my luggage all the way to Resort World and spend some time there before I go to T1. (At 4.30am?)

Even if your flight is right on time, it will be 0430 before you get out of T3. I would be tempted to stay there, setting an alarm for 0830 when it would be time to try to find the shuttle bus (supposedly every half hour) or a taxi around to T1.

Like all airports, the lights are bright but perhaps you may have eye shades and be able to find a seat and at least sit down, although dozing will be difficult.

You could go to a SOGO or other short time hotel but the travelling involved is too much. Remington Hotel at Resorts World Manila is too expensive for a short kip; when I stayed, it was noisy although an inner courtyard room may not be as bad. The bathrooms are particularly pokey; the rooms are small and spartan (not even a chair!)

I would go for option #3. Take a free shuttle from T3 to Resorts World.

4am in T1? 11am flight?

This means you will need to be at the airport at 0900hrs. After taking your luggage and immigration, it might be 0445hrs if your flight is on time.

Agree with the above. Got to Resort World to relax but take a taxi!

May I ask where will you be flying to?

hi. I‘ll be flying to Guam via United airlines. There will be some restaurants open at 5am right? I am just scared because I‘ve had a bad experience in the Philippines before. Twice actually. Cheated by a horse (donkey?) carriage guy and iphone stolen by a bellboy! I dislike the fact that they charge a termibal fee especially when I‘m only passing by. But it‘s still cheaper and better than going through 3 different airports if I book through farecompare, etc..

I personally would go straight to Terminal 1. But wait for the shuttle to take me.

Not sure what time the pay lounges open but I would then use the facilities of a pay lounge where for a set price, you have comfortable lounge chairs, internet, flight reminder and all you can eat and drink.

Personally, I would not advise you to go straight to NAIA T1 because you won't have a place to stay. I mean you can stay at the departure area and sit very uncomfortably on the waiting area.

As for staying in Resorts World... It's too expensive for a few hours of stay. So that's a big NO.

There are a few restaurants/fast food across T3 that you can stay if you don't want to stay inside T3.

I would also use the pay lounge at NAIA (Sampaguita/Miascor lounge) but the problem is you need first to check-in and pass through immigration which is 2 hrs. before your flight.

Regarding Resorts World yes there are some restaurants open 24 hrs. specially the ones inside the casino. You can apply for a free membership and have a buffet breakfast for the equivalent of only RM20 or even less. If you will travel on a Saturday or Sunday early morning then you can even watch a movie at the 24-hour cinemas of Resorts World.

Yes - restaurants inside the airport will be open.

Unfortunately, the number of facilities (including restaurants) is far more in terminal 3 (where domestic flights operate) rather than the international terminii

If merely transiting international to international within 24 hours you do not have to pay a terminal fee.

When you arrive at T1, have your previous and next flight itineraries handy. Show them to the security guard near immigration, who may direct you to a side office where an employee may need to fill out a form. That has been my experience at Philippine Airlines' terminal T2. You will then be able to 'depart' through immigration without paying the P550 international departure tax.

If you encounter someone who claims that you have to pay, be persistent and ask to see a supervisor.

It will not hurt to also explain all this to the immigration officer as you await processing at the 'sparrows' time of 0430 at T3.

Filipinos are generally friendly and welcoming: this is partly why so many are employed in the 'hospitality' industries such as hotels. Your experience of being ripped off twice is not shared by many of we visitors to the land of 7107 islands.

The Burger King at T3 might be open but I'm not very sure. The Remington Hitel might be a better option for a short stay.
