Laundry shops

We'll be in Manila for about 3 weeks. Hotel laundry service will be more expensive. Any recommended laundry shops near Kimberly Hotel, Pedro Gil St.?

Thanks!

There are plenty of laundry shops in Manila. Just ask at hotel reception.

In fact, by Australian standards the hotel service will be easily affordable and far more convenient than doing it yourself.

FSRP01 hotels are expensive for laundry. Go to a specialise laundry where you will pay a fraction of the cost. Around 35-40 Php per kilo from memory. Hotels can charge by the piece.

As FSRP01 says laundries are aplenty. Ask your hotel or walk around and you are bound to find one.

Here is what I do.

Hand wash the days clothes in the bathroom sink. Hang up in the bathroom. If you have the aircon on, the clothes will dry overnight as the aircon removes moisture from the air.

hotels are very dear, you can find places nearby that may even pick up or deliver. Always inventory your laundry.

LO2 I agree with you that you should do an inventory.

When I was in Cebu I had my laundry done and when I left Cebu I realised I had a Thai Muay shirt missing with Gold Lettering. I picked this up in Bangkok during a kick boxing event in MBK Shopping Centre.I was quite annoyed.

Agree on the idea of washing clothes personally, it is the cheapest. :P

I think there will be near laundry shops along the streets there since there are now lots of laundry shops in the city.

BTW, if you are staying for 3 weeks in Manila, you may want to consider to rent an apartment instead of a hotel room.

Close? There are at least 20 laundry shops walking distance to Kimberly Hotel surrounding many universities. Sampaloc, Manila is definitely not close as you need to ride a jeepney at least.
