gumbet to bitez how far?

We are staying in gumbet in august for the 1st time but we are thinking of visiting bitez for the beach (which we have heard is beautiful is it worth th trip?) and bodrum for the castle.

Can anyone tell me roughly how far away bitez is and the best way to get there? We are staying in the ali baba hotel in gumbet

Bitez has a lovely beach and is nice to explore. It's not a massive place but worth visiting. Really your best bet is to jump in a taxi to get there. It's 'next door' to Gumbet so not too expensive.

There isn't a direct bus that goes from Gumbet to Bitez, you can either get it to the top of the hill and walk down to Bitez or you could get a bus to the main road and then the Bitez bus from there. But as Jakki says it is probably easier just to jump in a taxi as it is only 5 minutes away.

Bodrum is 10 minutes on the bus, they run very frequently, about every 5-10 minutes.

It's a bit hilly but I walked from centre of Gumbet to Centre of Bitez in 35 minutes.

As above, its a 30-40 minute walk if you are that way inclined (and don't mind some inclines!)

Otherwise, taxi is 15-18YTL, or you can get the bus from the outskirts of Gumbet (on the main road) into Bitez.
