Transfer time to Bodrum/Gumbet

Hi

What's the transfer time from the airport to the resort (looking at Jasmin Beach)?

We've taken the kids all over and although they're excellent flyers, one isn't great on a coach!

The Jasmin Beach has some good reviews for the kids so looked ideal.

Is it still cheap in Turkey? Just come back from Egypt which was great but the Euro is putting me off going to Europe.

Cheers

It depends on where the drop offs are on the coach before you get to the Jasmine Beach - and sometimes the big coaches stop in Gumbet and you transfer to a minibus to get to Gumbet.

We have a house in Gumbet and always hire a car from Bodrum airport and it takes us about 40 minutes to get to Gumbet so I would think it would be more than 45 minutes. It may be worth looking at a private transfer - we always used to do it before we started hiring a car and we always used www.propercar.com and found them reasonable and reliable.

The coach transfer can take anything from 45 minutes to an hour, depending on if you are dropped off first or last. It is a straight road all the way from the airport until the turn off for Gumbet so it is quite quick really.

Jasmin Beach is a nice hotel, especially for the children, right on the beach at a quiet end of the bay and just 10 minutes from the centre of the resort.

Turkey is cheaper than Europe mostly, I'm not sure how it compares to Egypt but you will find it good value for money, especially if you don't eat and drink at the most obvious places along the main strip.

Transfer time is approx 45 minutes but you have to swap from the large coach onto a smaller mini bus just outside Gumbet as the large coach cannot get down the streets. It's a bit of an inconvenience but as long as you make sure your cases are on the smaller bus it's not really a problem

The large coaches go along to Jasmin beach though so you shouldn't have to change.
