Hi Fellow Travellers

I am very much looking forward to our trip to Gumbet early June. One thing i do love is water parks (even at My Age 41 years young)

Can any one give me any info on the water parks as i hear their is 2 with one being alot larger and better than the other. Looked on line but cant see they have their own websites.

Cheers All Phil

Hi Phil, yes there are two parks. One is just at the other side of Bodrum(the 'land 'side)but it is small and not very good and the price difference is negligible.

The biggest and best is the Dedeman Aqua park at Ortakent,15 minutes from Gumbet..You can book at with any of the tour shops in the town and free transfer there and back is included in the ticket price(around 12GBP).It's open everyday from 10.00 to http://18.00.As with all these places food and drink from outside are not permitted but their prices are actually pretty reasonable really. There are free lockers, etc. You can't use money in the park so on arrival you get a card and load it up with what you need for the day. There are plenty of sunbeds and shaded area's too. Here is the web site for it including English translation.Enjoy it you big kid :-)

Hi phil,

last year I went to the dedeman aquapark, getting the dolmus to bodrum and then back to ortakent. This eventually worked out more expensive when added to the entry fee, so it's best just to book it with one of th shops in the town. Don't book with hotel reps as they are a lot more, plus you may get a free hamam thrown in from a shop!

As far as I know, dedeman was the larger park, but it wasn't great compared to others in turkey or corfu as an example. It wa relatively expensive inside for food (can't take your own) and there weren't a massive amount of slides. I'm sure there is a website for it. I would get a link for you but I'm on my phone!

Best wishes

HI Phil, I go to the Dedaman every year when in gumbet, and for £10-£12 for a full day at the water park plus transport there and back is a BARGAIN.

Me and my wife love it, it has 4 kamakasees at the top of the park and various other ring/ boat slides and also a wave pool with a great terrace with plenty of sunbeds.

the food is burger's/ chipspizza/ and of course kebab (LOL) but very reasonsble.

hope you enjoy gumbet as much as us, this will be our 8th time we fly out on the 21st june, if you r still there i will the guy with all tattoos.

all the best the jockster

Top tip for the Dedeman waterpark...get a sunbed under the pine trees as it is so peaceful.
