Tourist E-visa

Has anyone any experience of applying online for their tourist visa? I'm not sure how straightforward or common it is to do this. Also, does it save much time queue wise?

Many thanks,

I know someone who did it recently and it was very straightforward. It did cost £13 as against the usual £10 though.

You will obviously save a bit if time going through passport control but you will still have to wait for your luggage along with everyone else.

Thanks Kedi, I think I may just leave it. One less piece of paper to carry around! :-)

I have to agree with Kedi - why pay more and to be honest, unless you are really, really unlucky, it doesn't take that long in the queue to buy your visa before you go through passport control.

I agree. Not worth it really. I'll only consider it in winter if I've got a short connection time in Istanbul!
