Xanadu Island- what currency, e-visa or not?

Hi, can any one advise? What is the best currency to take - lira or euros?

Is there a benefit to getting e-visas, does it speed up the process at Bodrum Airport?

Any info on Xanadu island welcomed - travelling with my hubby for a week in Sept.

Thank you

As you'll be arriving on a charter flight of mostly holiday makers yes, having an e visa means cutting out a long queue :) It is a process worth getting used to anyway as VOA will start to be phased out within a year or so.

As you are coming from the UK do not bother with Euro's.Bring a small amount of TL with you for initial expenses to get you started off with and the rest of your dosh either in Sterling or plastic for the ATM's.

Also I see you are from Aberdeen so please bear in mind that Scottish bank notes are not accepted in Turkey, only Bank of England notes.

Can't help you with the hotel as I've not stayed there but superb views!

It was only introduced earlier this year but is proving very popular. The old visa on arrival system is to be phased out within the next year or two-
