The Winchester Inn

We had a very nice time at the Winchester Inn this past Fri. night, we stayed at the Ashland Plaza Hotel which was again, wonderful. We had our daughter and her friend with us, so we opted for the King Spa Suite which was spacious and very nice. We went to the Winchester Inn wine bar for a bite to eat.

They were serving a flight of wines from Chile, all were very good. We started with the Spinach salad which was split for us, very good and fresh, followed by the appetizer of the Shrimp and an entree of Risotto, everything was perfect. The ambiance was very festive with a guitar player and there were about 4 other tables with diners and wine tasters.

The hotel also has a more formal restaurant and the Inn looked very nice. This is a great option for a bite to eat in Ashland when most of the other places we like close around 8:30 in March.

After a workout in the fitness center at the Plaza, we enjoyed breakfast at the Plaza, they are now serving the hot waffles which is a nice addition to the continental breakfast bar, the kids like the outdoor hot tub here.

After stopping at the Rogue Creamery for some cheese sampling, we were off to the King Estate Winery for lunch. I'll post more about our time here in the Eugene forum. :)

Since you had teenagers with you, syrahgirl, was it comfortable to have all 4 of you in the King Suite?

Lawsy, all that good food!

Hot waffles and cheese and wine, fantastic that they had a fitness center !

Did you see any tourist sights on your drive to Seaside? Or did you drive straight through?

How many hours drive is it from your area of Ca?

Thanks for posting..
