Chalalan Ecolodge

We are going to Bolivia in November and are thinking of booking a tour with the Chalalan Ecolodge company (http://www.chalalan.com/index.html). Has anyone used this company before? how did it go? has anyone travelled there in November? is it easy to get to?

Any comments or suggestions,(especially from a local expert), would be great!

hey there,

we stayed in chalalan for 2 nights and 3 days in August, it was fantastic. it's more expensive than other rainforest trips but well worth it cos it's very authentic. it's a long boat trip to get there from RURRENEBAQUE (7 hours there, 4-5 hours back) but the boat trip itself is pleasant. Chalalan is peaceful and really beautiful, the guides know what they're talking about and the wildlife is amazing. enjoy!

November is really hot and may be rainy - sometimes roads get closed during our rainy season, especially up North in that area, so make sure to give yourself plenty of time just in case. However, November is the very beginning of the rainy season so you probably won't have any trouble.
