Wind in Buzios?

I'm planning a trip to Buzios in the mid-August and was wondering if it will be too windy to have an enjoyable time outside and on the terrace? Would another beach destination in Brazil be better suited for August? Preferably something around Rio or Sao Paulo.

The wind in August tends to be quite variable. Some days are light, with breezes not reaching 10 knots, yet there are other days with gusts of 20+knots, but rarely is there a consistent breeze of 20+. Because Buzios is a peninsula and is hilly, you can generally find some beaches that are fairly well protected (i.e. on the lee side) with minimal wind, or if you prefer there are often beaches with a nice breeze on the windward side. As far as being on a veranda or terrace, the wind should not be a problem, nor should the wind be a problem for beingon Rua das Pedras or other similar diversions.

Hope this helps
