Hotel area for Alabama Adventure

Interested in visiting Alabama Adventure. Would it be best to get a hotel in Bessemer proper or is Birmingham within close proximity? Or should we choose another lodging location?

There might be a hotel near AA, but you probably won't find much else to do in that area. If you want lots of nice restaurants and shopping, you can stay at one of the new hotels on John Hawkins Parkway (Highway 150) in Hoover. There is an Embassy Suites, Holiday Inn, Residence Inn, etc., all built within the last year or so. They are just down the street from the Galleria Mall and Patton Creek shopping area. These hotels put you about 13-15 miles (via interstate I-459) from AA. A look at Yahoo maps will orient you. Have a great time. Tom

How many days are you planning to spend at AL Adventure? Are you doing anything else in the area?

Toms is correct...Exit 108 off of I-20/59 is the exit AA is located. There are a couple hotels. If you go back to exit 106 ( I-459 North), take 459, just go to exit 1, there is some new shopping and some restaurant choices. Hoover, where he mentioned, is much much bigger. That would be exit 10. You may not need a whole lot in the way of choices if you are at the park all day.

Look at those places on the map and then check reviews of properties.

What you DON'T want to do, is go further East/North on 20/59...(closer to Birmingham).

Have fun,

Miller
