Short stay

Coming through Memphis and into Birmingham wed afternoon/night. Any recommendations for eating and entertainment? Were staying one night there. Thanks!

Have you planned where you will be staying? That will determine what should be recommended. One thing I will go ahead and mention is our minor league baseball team - Birmingham Barons - will be playing at their new downtown ballpark Wednesday night.

Ditto the above post, what part of birmingham depends on what food and entertainment is recommended. Downtown will have good food and a few good bars, 280 or Hoover will have more shopping, bowling, etc.

Go to a Birmingham Barons game downtown; get there early and have a beer at Good People Brewery across the street from the stadium. After the game make your way over to the Five Points area and eat at one of the restaurants there. I highly recommend Surin (Thai), Ocean, 26, and Highland Bar and Grill. If you like BBQ, head for Dreamland near UAB for ribs. After you eat dinner, go up to Vulcan Park and ride the elevator to the top for a view of the entire Jones Valley. Have fun and enjoy your trip!

Birmingham Barons game downtown is the destination cannot miss of this place. You can come there. And takes part in entertainment as Civilengtiger comment. Thank you, Civilengtiger for your useful writing.
