Nightclubs/Good Bars in Hvar

Hi Guys

Can you recommend any good clubs/bars in Hvar and where they are located? I'm looking for clubs/bars that are popular with tourists/locals or both!

Thanks!

Matt

Everything you need is located within walking distance from the center except if they open the club at the Spanish Fortress this summer.

Two words CARPE DIEM - and that is all you need to know:

Everything is pricey on Hvar but Carpe Diem is expensive.

I'm also going to Dubrovnik which i've heard is quite expensive. Is there anywhere in Croatia that's cheap?! My whole reasoning behind going to Croatia was to get out of the Eurozone and save a little cash!

I recommend a town called Vodice - £1 a beer

Really cheap for dining out and 5 large supermarkets that are so cheap its crazy if you want to cook.

I sort of thought that Carpe Diem was overrated. Maybe because I just returned, and it is June, so less crowded than July/August?

My favorite place on Hvar is the Hula Hula Bar (aka Bubba Gumps) right around the corner from the Hotel Amfora. It is a day bar/beach club though.. delicious mojitos and other mixed drinks from 58 kunas ($11), beers less than that, and it is a restaurant/bar/beach club where you can rent a double bed w/ umbrella for 100 kuna/day ($20). Around 3-4pm a DJ starts and up and the party really starts.. and goes til evening. SO much fun and the owner, Wolf, is awesome and really friendly.
