Ferry tickets advance purchase?

We will be arriving in Split airport on 11th June around 10am, and need to catch ferry/catamaran from the harbour to Hvar. I,ve looked through previous posts and one of them suggests we wont be able to pre book our ferry tickets. Does anyone know if this is correct and how likely it will be that we will be able to get tickets if we have to get them on the day ? Thanks

Hi We did this trip at the end of July which is very busy and we did get tickets for the ferry we had to wait a few hours as the earlier one was full but it was okay. Just go to the ticket office as soon as you get to Split harbour.

As far as I know you cannot pre-book tickets. But maybe some-one can tell you for sure.

You can't pre-book but in June it shouldn't be a problem as it is low season.

There is a new service offered through new Split portal - www.croatia-split.com and they offer pre booking of ferry tickets.

And it is ALWAYS a problem to get tickets as the tourist season starts early

It looks as though this service will be available from May.

Does this mean that that a private company will be making money by selling Jadrolinija and Krilo tickets in advance via a pre-booking service? www.croatia-split.com is not the Split Tourist Board website so far as I'm aware but a private organisation?
