Potential transfer nightmare...

I hope someone can help me with this...

My friend and I are flying into Split on the 22nd of July. The flight lands at 8pm so we will miss the last ferry to Stari Grad. The next ferry appears to the be at 1:30am so with the time it takes to cross the water and get from Stari Grad to Hvar Town it looks as though the earliest we will get to our hotel is going to be around 4am. Although this option is relatively cheap it does mean we lose the first night of our holiday!

I have looked into the boat transfers you can get direct from the airport to Hvar Town which only take an hour however the cheapest quote I have got based on the two of us is €299.

Should we just lump the eight hour connection or fork out for the boat transfer? Are there any other options I might have missed?

Stay the first night in Split or Trogir?

You should definitely stay in Split!

So many things to see and enjoy. Then go to first catamaran to Hvar at 11 30 in the morning.

When you do it this way you get the best of both cities considering your landing hours.
