Hi Anu P,

Welcome to Trip Advisor.

Munnar and Wayanad happen to be two different directions from Coimbatore. IMPO, it is advisable to do this as two different trips. Coimbatore to Wayanad would be around 230 kms and Coimbatore to Munnar would be around 160 kms, whereas Wayanad to Munnar would be around 350 kms.

As destinations, both these places deserve a couple of days. hence, it totally depends on your preferences.

Hi Anu,

Munnar, as such is an exotic destination, with some wonderful tea plantations and nice weather. You need to consider the monsoons though, as it is expected to rain and the climate would be cold. There is a exhaustive list of things to do in a recent post in the Munnar forum, which would be handy for you. The link is below,

If travelling by road, a small tip is, leave Coimbatore very early, so as to hit the Chinnar / Maraiyur road in the wee hours (read 7/8 AM types), as that road is supposed to be so scenic at that time of the day.

Feel free to revert for any clarifications.

Hi Anu,

If you are there for 4 days, you can also consider Thekkady. You may plan for 1 day in Thekkady as well.

There are a lot of places in Kerala, which you can cover on a four day trip. It totally depends on your interest and budgets. Wayanad is again a good hill destination, very pristine, not as high as Munnar. There are a lot of trekking options in both these places. Adventurous, meaning, if you are looking at wildlife, some water sports etc., you may check on Thekkady. The best option would be to do a 2/3 night in Munnar and a 1/2 night in Thekkady, based on what suits you
