Hi...

Places to see :-

Golden Temple, Jallianwala Bagh, Wagah Border, Ram Bagh Garden and Harike Wetland and Bird Sanctuary are the places that you can visit in Amritsar.

Travel within the city and cost :- You should hire a car and can check out Swamy Tarvels Himachal Taxi Services. The cost will be Rs.4000 for AC Indigo local sightseeing.

Cost from Airport to the Queens road :- Cost will be Rs.800.

Hope it would help you. Enjoy your Journey.

Hi,

If you are planning to visit Wagah Border, you will have to leave at around 14:00 hrs. The actual parade starts around 16:45 or so, but the place gets very crowded. If you reach early, you will be able to secure a vantage position. People from all-over the country converge here to witness this unique event.

You need taxi to travel to Wagah Border, which as the above post. you shouldleave arund 14.00hrs.

For rest of the city, I would suggest you take Rikshas or travel by yourself, or take local shared autos. Amritsar is fun that way.

you don't need a taxi for your travels in Amritsar, but you would sure require a taxi for airport pickup and drops as well as for the wagha border parade the rest you can travel in cycle rickshaws and autos(tuk-tuk)
