Raja is the ferry that you want to catch, but not sure you can make it by 10am with a bus. A taxi should cost around 1,000 Baht, or may be even as much as 1,500. You can arrange for bus/ferry ticket at the airport but you may have to get 2pm ferry.
If you take a taxi you will make the 10am ferry.
Many thanks for your advice. It looks like we will have to take the taxi. If it only costs 1500 baht , then its a no brainer, as we have managed to secure very cheap tickets from Bangkok with Air Asia. How long will the taxi take and can the journey be done in 1 hour , in case of any delays with the flight. I don' t want to spend 1500 baht and still miss the ferry.
I will arrive at same hour in late December, 8:10 on Surat Thani Airport .
I saw Lomprayah is selling combo ticket from Surat Thani Airport to Koh Phangan, and the departure is at 8:30, arriving at 11:45 in Koh Phangan.
It is not ok? Do you think i cannot catch it?
You only have 20mins to retrieve your baggage and make the 08.30 bus departure. I think the only way to make the 10.00 ferry departure is to take a taxi.
Doubtful you can make, unless, as stated you catch a taxi to Maenam.
Chasdonn, 1 hour will be more than enough time if going by taxi.
Many thanks for all your info. Definitely taxi for me.
I have used also this lomprayah route: from airport to don sak by bus and and then by lomprayah boat to phangan. Departure time from don sak pier is 10.10 and will arrive phangan 11.45.
The bus is waiting for the people from airasia flight and does not leave before everyone is in the bus. And the boat is waiting for bus in don sak...
Can i know, 1 day before arrival at Surat Thani Airport, we need to call to them to confirm our seats? Because i afraid not seat avaialble?
Need your help to explain more, because i'm 1st time travel to Koh Samui from Surat Thani Airport. After taking baggage where to check in ourselves for the lomprayah transfer.
