Near but not on Haad Rin April 2012

Hi

Two girls late 20's looking for bunglow type accomadation.

We are going to the FMP but dont particulally want to stay at Haad Rin beach. Just a cab ride there for the party.

beach front, air cond, hot water, other young people, bars and good nightlife are ideal.

Any suggestions?

Southwest are we on the right track?

Thank you :)

You can get to the FMP from almost any beach on the island, so no need to worry about that.

From the sounds of it Haad Salad is not the best option for you if you a good nightlife. I would have a look at Baan Tai, Baan Kai or Haad Yai.

I suggest you also check www.phangan.info and read about each beach and then go from there. You can also search on here to see what others say about accommodations and see if anything suits your needs and your budget.

I would imagine any night market (not sure if there is one?) would be around Thong Sala, 5-10 mins from Baan Tai.

There's a night market in the main town at Tong Sala.

Yes it is in Thong Sala, which is about a 50 baht taxi ride per person each way.

It is next to the 7-11, but is only a food market. But all shops along that strip are open quite late.

There is also a Saturday market from 4pm to 10pm in Thong Sala.

Hi,

We're staying in Baan Tai at Dakanda Villa Beach Resort which is in the B&B section.

They have lots of bungalows/huts at various prices.

They have great reviews & cheap accomodation.

Have a look at the reviews as they say its only a 5 min walk to Thongsala & the shops, markets, bars & restaurants

Good luck planning your holiday, that's half the fun of it!
