There is no Buri Rasa on Koh Phangan, although one is currently being built on Thong Nai Pan Noi. You are probably referring to its sister property Rasananda, which is now being managed by Anantara.

Keep your eyes open for deals for Rasananda. I booked through Jetsetter recently and rooms were going from about £90 a night. Beach Front suites for £170 a night.

Santhiya is nearby and is a nice resort. I did find it too big for my liking though and the service wasn't up to 5* standards.

Hi Portex

would love Rasananda but the cheapest i can manage to get it for is 160 euro a night and we are going for 14 so it is a bit over our budget but if i can get it for around 100 would grab it with both hands, never heard of Jetsetter but will check it out now thanks a milion.

Yes, it indeed opened in June. It has its soft opening, although the official opening is not for a couple more months. At the moment they only have a few rooms up and running.

Hi,

Are you able to give me some more info on the Buri Rasa resort? We are going over for our 5th wedding anniversary. I know it used to be Baan Panburi before they moved the huts. Does the Buri Rasa have any ground floor free standing rooms? Do you know if it has a nice restaurant? We are looking for a room on the beach where everyone can have a drink near our room. Might be asking too much :)

Thanks for any info

As far as I could see at the beginning of July, all the beachfront rooms were still being constructed. No freestanding rooms - all in a single block.

The restaurant looked decent and there's loads of good ones a few minutes walk away in the village.
