Where

Couple in our early 30's

Have booked a 2 wk stay in koh samui but would like to stay a few nights on koh phangan.

Looking for advice really on where is the best location to stay. We like good food and a selection of bars to drink in. Want a lovely beach wiv clear water.

Am I right in thinking some waters r very shallow?

Happy to have advice on accommodation as well. Not looking to spend a lot at all. Air con is a must. Not bothered by a pool if close to beach. Also do the beaches have sun beds? as I can't stand lying on the sand.

Full moon party is 14th April so we aren't bothered about that. Happy to arrive 19th April give or take a day.

Thanks for any advice given.

Naomi

Hi,

Check out Thong Nai Pan, good food is to be had but there may not be enough bars for you:

Agree with AA, but you could also consider Haad Yao which is a bit livelier although do be careful as a few days prior to the FMP everywhere gets busy and sometimes it can be too lively!

Candle Hut on Thong Nai Pan Yai has sunbeds and it is a beautiful stretch of beach.

Hi,

I don't know for sure but probably not since the places to stay there are on the cheap side:

I would follow Khaolak Yoga's advice and stay at the Candle Hut which is at the far end of a lovely beach.
