Hi,

If you haven't already done so read this link:

tripadvisor.co.uk/SmartDeals-g303908-Ko_Phi_…

Hotels are more expensive in December/January since it is high season.

You're having the same problem most people have when finding accomodation on Phi Phi for the 1st time.

Unfortunately thats the way it is, nothing good is cheap. I paid £75 a night at the Bayview this January, & it was still pretty poor to be honest. The A/C was so bad, had to pour chilled water onto a towel over my head to cool down whilst in the room at night.

December - January quite a peak time. Maybe try find Hotel at Railay or Ao Nang and take ferry to Phi Phi.

Meant to say, there are cheaper places around, but from what I've seen/heard/read, the quality of the accomodation often is not great. Its a case of picking what you consider is adequate at the end of the day, or paying a lot of money
