sairee solo traveller

Im planning on coming on 2nd jan for around 4 nites. How chilled is sairee as looking for bit of action and meeting up with others, know it isnt as mad as samui which is fine as got planty of time there and phanghan. Also as u can imagine due to time of year its pretty booked up, windbeach looking the cheapest, looking for budget but has awful reviews. Is it that bad? Thanks

Hi

That time of year you'll not struggle to find a party or folks to meet up with. Sairee is pretty full on in peak season for anyone looking for a good time.

I've never stayed at Windbeach before so can't really comment. What's your budget and your requirements and you might get some better alternatives.

Thanks. To be honest as cheap as possible but central to beach an bars. Im travelling for 6 weeks during peak time so have spent a small fortune on flights and hotels so far. Not more than £30 per nite if poss. Ta

I can well imagine the expense!

A quick check on sawadee.com shows some availabilty at Lotus Resort and Asia Resort which are in good locations and less than £20 a night for a basic room.

Lotus dont look the best, the other isnt bad mind, so looks like it could be that. Only thing that windbeach had going for it was its location on the beach. Thanks for the search, jus need to book a few more nights elsewhere an im done! Phew!!

Lotus is less than a 2 minute walk to the beach (100 m from beach to road) and is closer to the bars and restaurants.

That time of year, booking late and on a budget is going to restrict your options, hopefully you'll be able to find the best for you.

Hope you have a great trip
