Accomdation for 1 week (5000 budget)

I'm going to ko tao or the first time next week. Looking for somewhere for about 5000 baht close to Sairee beach.

I've looked on here for hotels/bnbs but they're a either expensive or cheap hostels.

Is it best just to turn up and find somewhere? I'm in samui at the moment and found plenty of nice places on that budget..

Is that 5000 for the week or a night? The answer will really make a difference :)

Cheaper bungalows are available at resorts on Sairee Beach. Try Prik Thai, Nat Resort or SB Cabana 2 resorts. For a private fan bungalow, prices start from as little as 500THB per night. Some of these mentioned don't take online bookings, so it can really be luck of the draw what you get on arrival. It has quietened off significantly after the manic rush we had following the July full moon party though, so you should be able to get yourself something on arrival without too many difficulties.

Happy hunting!

Ooh, sorry should have also said...if you make it clear on arrival that you want to stay for a full week, you should be able to negotiate a discount on the normal nightly rate.

Good luck.
